The majority of my studio sessions take place on weekday mornings, however if this doesn’t work for your schedule, please reach out and we will make arrangements. I typically suggest trying to get in for your session before your partner has to return to work if possible. As far as when you should bring baby in, for studio sessions, I don’t believe in putting pressure on coming in right away if you aren’t feeling up to it and photograph newborns up to 6 weeks old. If you want to bring baby in right away, great! But, I realize the postpartum period can be difficult on Mom, so if you need a few weeks, that is no problem at all. They’ll still be just as adorable, promise :)

Yes! All sessions include immediate family members, meaning spouses/children. I do ask you do not bring grandparents, friends, or other family members along, and I do not currently offer extended family sessions. Typically for a studio newborn session, I will start with the family, and then ask if the other parent can take other kids for a snack (we have PLENTY of options to walk to on the Square in Medina!) while I work with just Mom and baby for a bit at the end.

Absolutely! A HUGE part of the final results is wardrobe. Sounds superficial, but its true. For studio newborn sessions, I have a curated collection of wardrobe for the new baby, so you don’t need to bring anything for them to wear at all! For the rest of the family, Earthy colors and neutrals tend to do best with my style of editing, and I offer both a virtual styling tool (which my clients LOVE) and a customized client closet with dresses for women in all sizes, as well as children. If I don’t have something you love in the client closet to borrow and use, then we’ll find the perfect wardrobe for you to get.

My goal is to make the process of working with me not only easy but fun! I know the longer you wait for photos, the less exciting it is. I get all proofing galleries back to you within 7 days of your session, and final galleries delivered within 3 weeks after you’ve chosen and paid the final invoice!

I suggest booking in your 2nd trimester! Once you are between 12-14 weeks, send me an email and let’s set it up! We will book by your due date, and then once baby arrives (or if you are scheduled for an induction/csection) we will get your official date on the calendar! For hospital sessions, we keep in touch and plan those as soon as baby arrives!

All of my sessions have what is referred to as a documentary or lifestyle feel. Meaning, they are baby led and family driven. Babies love being held, especially by their parents! So, many of the photographs will involve parents holding baby in various positions. I will pose and direct you, but I currently do not offer “posed” newborn only photos where they are propped up on their hands in buckets and things of that nature. We are keeping it natural here, and focusing on connection, emotion, and storytelling.
