FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

There was the moment you realized you no longer need to carry a diaper bag. There were the tears you shed as you hugged your child goodbye on their first day of school. From the day your baby quit nursing to the day you’ll pack their car as they head off to college, you’ve only become more certain of one thing since becoming a parent; Time Waits for No one. 

Time is a thief, they say, and if you can’t stop it…I suggest you do the next best thing. Preserve it. 

Ever been in one of those moments where you actually stopped and thought to yourself, ‘Don’t forget this!’ or ‘I wish I could freeze this moment right here and live in it forever,’?  Well, you can. Sort of. 

Through my family portrait process I will make sure that we attend to every detail to create meaningful images that remind you of all the little things you want to remember.

From the location to the outfits to all the details that make up who each member of your family is as an individual (and how you work together as a unit!) you’ll finally have photographs that show off exactly who you are and what you are all about. 

These photographs we’ll be treasured by your children (and grandchildren!) and not only remind you of all the little moments of your life exactly as it is right now, but also tell the stories of your families journey.

STEP ONE: BOOKING

After booking you’ll receive access to the Client Resources that has a what to wear and expect guide, virtual styling tool, questionnaire, Client closet, and more! Included with every session is full styling services (both wardrobe the studio owns you can borrow for your session and a virtual styling tool) and access to my exclusive locations and studio.

STEP TWO: PLANNING

During your session, I will tell you exactly what to do, and have all of the posing and details covered. All studio sessions include full wardrobe for baby and everything we need! Hospital sessions are documentary, so we keep it simple. I’ll make sure you know what to pack, bring, and where before session day!

STEP THREE: SESSION

STEP FOUR: DELIVERY

For classic outdoor sessions you’ll be sent your proofing gallery to select your favorite images within 1 week. Purchase only what you love, and within 3 weeks, I’ll send the fully edited images ready for you to download and print. Documentary sessions are all inclusive, so you’ll be sent all your best images in 3 weeks!

Classic Outdoor Family

Let’s keep it simple! You’ll pay your session fee at booking when you schedule your date, and then after your session you’ll select YOUR favorite images to keep forever.

  • Time & talent of photographer during an approximately 1 hour outdoor session of Mom, partner and/or any immediate family members

  • Client closet access, planning, & virtual styling tool

  • No prints, products, or digital images are included and must be purchased separately after your session

Family Documentary Session

What is a documentary family session?! Your parents lake house, the family boat, riding around in your families vintage truck, or at your cabin. Whether you have a garden and a clothesline in the backyard, or a full blown farm with chickens and horses, let’s tell the everyday story of your family! This is for people who don't want to meet me at the field like usual, but want a little more time, to capture their favorite place and everyday moments. Because of the documentary nature of these sessions, this is an all inclusive price, meaning you pay one fee for the session and your digital images.

DOCUMENTARY FAMILY SESSION INVESTMENT: 1200

INCLUDED:

  • Time & talent of photographer during an approximately 2 hour session

  • Client closet access, planning, & virtual styling tool

  • 100+ edited digital images delivered via an online gallery

$225 due at the time of booking, remainder due by your session date

FAQ: Let Me Answer Your Questions.

  • After booking, I ask you to fill out a questionnaire and tell me your DREAM location! After that, I will send you over some suggestions. I hand pick all of my locations so that I know how it will look in your photos, where the light is, and can make sure it’s going to give you the results you want! I have an array of locations I use throughout Northeast Ohio and in the Akron and Cleveland areas. Want to do something unique or different?! Just let me know, I love new and different!

  • Most of my outdoor sessions are held on weekday evenings at sunset. If for some reason you can’t find a date or time that works for you on my calendar, let me know so we can find something that does! In home or documentary sessions, we will plan those according to what we are doing, but can be done at various times!

  • At this time I do not offer extended family sessions. It’s not my area of focus or my specialty.

  • Absolutely! A HUGE part of the final results is wardrobe. Sounds superficial, but its true. Earthy colors and neutrals tend to do best with my style of editing (however for documentary, we may get funky!), and I offer both a virtual styling tool (which my clients LOVE) and a customized client closet with dresses for women in all sizes, as well as babies, and children. If I don’t have something you love in the client closet to borrow and use, then we’ll find the perfect wardrobe for you to get.

  • A classic outdoor session is a family session that while still fun and interactive, is more “traditional”. I have a laundry list of poses and prompts and directives I use to get engaging, candid images of your family together in a field somewhere outdoors that is scenic having fun! Documentary sessions, however, there is a lot less posing (still some direction of course) while I follow along as your family does their favorite things. Have a family farm or kickass outdoor area? A boat on the lake or a vintage camper? Let’s gather around the fire pit, walk through your neighborhood, or feed the chickens! These include a lot more real moments and details, and are less structured. If you want to commemorate something that shows your kids what life was like, then a documentary session may be more for you! If you aren’t sure which one you want, feel free to reach out so we can discuss it! Happy to help.

  • My goal is to make the process of working with me not only easy but fun! I know the longer you wait for photos, the less exciting it is. I get all proofing galleries back to you within 7 days of your session, and final galleries delivered within 3 weeks after you’ve chosen and paid the final invoice! For those who are doing a documentary session, expect your full edited gallery in a few weeks!

  • Yes! If you would love to work with me, but need to spread out payments, no problem. Just contact me about setting one up!

  • I book sessions up to a year in advance. While I can often accommodate last minute bookings, I highly suggest booking as far out as you can! My outdoor season typically runs March - November here in Ohio, and I open my calendar sometime in February each year.
