The Anderson’s | Outdoor Family Photo Session in Cleveland, Ohio

I have a soft spot for the late summer and early fall months.

The unique charm of this season offers an ideal backdrop for capturing those precious family moments in Ohio.

I would call it, the Best of Both Seasons

Late summer and early fall in Ohio, especially in places like Cuyahoga Valley National Park (where we shot this session!), bring together the best elements of both seasons.

You can still enjoy the warm, balmy evenings of summer, perfect for those who aren't quite ready to say goodbye to the season. But, we are past MOST of those super humid, overly hot days and nights that you’ll be sweating.

At the same time, the cooler air starts to roll in, making it comfortable for everyone during the session.

This time of year keeps everyone from being too hot or too cold, which is especially great for little ones who might find the summer heat too intense or the late fall chill a bit too brisk.

Plus, the outfits! The ability to pair a cute romper with knee socks and let your babies chubby thighs stick out. And layer a cute cardigan on your child without them feeling overheated.

I have a special place in my heart for this time of year, and for this family, who not only go along with my ideas, but have chosen me to document some huge milestones in their lives (like announcing baby #3 here!) with them.
