“How do we keep the little ones from turning into mini tornadoes?"

First things first, let's talk outfit choices. Akron, Ohio is known for its vibrant seasons, so let's embrace that natural beauty! Opt for rich autumn hues or vibrant spring pastels that will make your family pop against Akron's natural backdrop. And don't be afraid to mix patterns and textures to add that extra wow factor! This family did an AMAZING job of mixing textures, patterns, and colors for the fall season here in Akron, Ohio! But be mindful of WHAT season we are shooting in, because colors change, a lot, around here…as you know.
Okay but do we need snacks? It’s okay to bring an emergency snacks (these are a last RESORT) BUT….FEED YOUR KIDS BEFORE PHOTOS! Hangry kids do NOT make for pretty pictures. And unless you want little Jimmy eating a bag of Doritos in your photos, then we really need to leave them in the car and make sure he is well fed. Don’t make them wait to eat until after the shoot. If you are worried about the mess, then change them once you arrive at our location. No big deal, I’m happy to wait a few minutes while everyone does a wardrobe swap.
Now, let's tackle the mini tornado situation. Kids are notorious for their energy, so let's channel it in a positive way. I will plan for some fun activities during the shoot to keep them engaged and entertained. Trust me, those candid, joy-filled moments will be captured like magic! I’ve been doing this for over 10 years, I’ve got a few ideas and a few tricks up my sleeve that MOST kids don’t roll their eyes at (okay except for maybe some of the tweens, but usually I can find a way to get on their level too, don’t worry!) and will be happy to participate in.
