Editorial Studio Maternity in Cleveland Ohio

The concept of this session was actually quite simple.

I wanted to do a maternity session for an expecting Mom that blended editorial with clean and driven and professional.

For the working Mom who still wanted to celebrate the excitement about her upcoming baby, but give it a beautiful feel.

So we shot this at my studio on Public Square in Medina, and the wardrobe was simple and easy. I knew I wanted to use a blazer or jacket for some. I knew I wanted the belly out and shown. And I knew I wanted to experiment with motion and blur and movement.

Lauren was the perfect expecting Mom for this session! She completely understood the vision and was all in and experimenting with a random office chair, keeping it minimal, and was agreeable when I made her move repeatedly and flip her hair around so I could get THE shot.

Don’t be afraid to ask to do something DIFFERENT! Most of us photographers, we love it. We need and crave that creativity. it’s fun to experiment and to try something else out that is unique or even just slightly outside of our comfort zone and listed in our standard posing stack of ideas.
